Homemade Turkey Burgers Recipe – A Healthy & Juicy Delight!

Welcome to The Foodie Table! Today, we’re bringing you a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional beef burgers – Homemade Turkey Burgers! These burgers are juicy, flavorful, and packed with lean protein, making them perfect for a nutritious meal.

Ingredients:

1 pound ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for a low-carb option)

1 egg

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Burger buns and toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado, etc.)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Turkey Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Mix until well combined but do not overwork the meat to keep it tender.

Step 2: Shape the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about 3/4-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing up during cooking.

Step 3: Cook the Burgers

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). If using a grill, preheat to medium-high and cook for the same amount of time.

Step 4: Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns for extra flavor. Place a turkey patty on the bottom bun and add your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado, or a special sauce.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

Enjoy your juicy homemade turkey burgers with a side of sweet potato fries, salad, or coleslaw.

Customization Ideas:

Spicy Kick: Add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the turkey mixture.

Cheesy Delight: Mix shredded cheese into the patty for extra flavor.

Low-Carb Option: Serve the burger in a lettuce wrap instead of a bun.

These Turkey Burgers are a fantastic meal for any occasion – whether it’s a family dinner, summer BBQ, or a quick healthy lunch. Give them a try and let us know how they turn out in the comments below!
